Become a friend and help support your library

The Friends of the Dover Library is a volunteer, 501c3 charitable organization dedicated to the common belief that a thriving public library is essential to a strong and engaged community.

Donations to the Friends help to benefit the library in a number of ways, including the funding of museum passes, library programming, the summer reading program, and other library needs not supported through the city’s tax-funded budget.

Our group is sustained through friendship donations as well as our biannual library book sale.

We welcome new Friends to help with developing new programs, fundraising, and volunteering at events. The Friends generally meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM at the library. Meeting announcements will be posted at the library and shared in the library newsletter.

Give as little or as much time as you want. Participate once a year, be active throughout the year, or work on a specific event or project. Just a little of your time and energy can make our library a valuable resource for everyone in our community.

To become a friend, please print out our Friendship Flyer, complete the bottom portion, and return it with a check made payable to the Friends of the Dover Public Library to: Dover Public Library, Attn: Friends of the DPL, 73 Locust Street, Dover, NH 03820.

Online donations will be available soon!
